Choose three poems from three different poets regarding race
Compare perceptions
Identify major events in terms of historical context
Consider whether or not they are effective at conveying perceptions
Choose song that connects to the poems views on race/gender. You must be familiar with the work (ie: have read the book, saw the painting at a museum or studied it in class).

As well as the three journals and song
Use strong vocabulary and literary elements ( aliteration , personification, simile , and Metaphor)
