Dissertation is on crime and media. More specifically, focusing on cities of New York, Chicago and Los Angeles and how the media reports crime in these cities. The references provided provide history of the media which is the foundation of the paper. The point of this thesis is to prove that the media effects how society views crime and how it has spiraled out of control over the years to the point of no return.
