Business Communication Portfolio
Objective: To apply the concepts and terminology learned in class to the drafting of relevant
business documentation.
Your portfolio will consist of:
– A speculative job application letter
-A letter of job acceptance
– An internal business email to a colleague to arrange a meeting
-A persuasive letter requesting an upgrade or preferential rate for a product or service
-A complaint letter on behalf of your boss to a new supplier
-A letter of apology from said supplier with problem and resolution
Requirements:
Your portfolio should consist of 6 documents. Use of formal Business English, key words and phrases should be appropriate for each document. The details regarding job titles, names of companies, products and problems mentioned are your own choice.
The portfolio should be submitted as one document with each element following the other with page breaks.
