Need to focus on something that is personal significance to you. This can be an interesting place,situation, or event. The purpose of this essay is to create a verbal snapshot of an artifact, and form this text, your reader should be able to generate a clear mental image of what your essay is describing. More importantly, the reader should walk away knowing why this thing is important enough to warrant being the focus of a college essay. Remember this is not a narrative, so you will not be telling the story of your subject, rather you will be creating something like a profile of a subject.
