How Sacrifice contributes to heroism
In this unit, we have read many articles about heroism, which makes us think about whether sacrifice or success leads to heroism. After reading many articles and some reports, I personally feel that sacrifice is more conducive to heroism.
The reason I say this is because there are many reports of how people approach some success heroism. For instance: when a resigned veteran does a few exploitative things, individuals will reprimand him on the Internet, and some will even go after him in reality. These ways of behaving are extremely improper and truly influence the veteran's life. Each time I consider it, don't individuals recall how he helped the nation previously? There are additionally times when a few media, to acquire traffic and gain consideration, will vastly amplify a few irrelevant seemingly insignificant details, very much like the veteran episode a little while ago. Perhaps what the veteran did is definitely nothing to joke about, however, a few media purposely kept in touch with a few unreasonable features for popular assessment, and let the public assault him through the Internet.
Another example of why sacrifice contributes more to heroism. is one of the articles that we read named: “The New Psychology of Leadership” in the article, the author said "Ways to be fair as a leader include refraining from helping yourself and making sacrifices for the group." (22) According to the author, justice and equality are essential concepts that generate a sense of belonging. It likewise tells about a leader who is willing to sacrifice for the interests of the group and the individual.
When a person is willing to sacrifice, for one thing, he has already contributed heroism, because this person already has the determination and courage to sacrifice to complete this thing, rather than doing it for fame and fortune or praise. This is also why I think sacrifice is more important to contributing to heroism.
