While it is undeniable that Beowulf is a hero, some of his actions are far from heroic. Look for passages in the text that show some of Beowulf’s faults and/or weaknesses and discuss whether or not a greater awareness of these traits changes your opinion of him as a heroic figure. Develop your answer thoroughly and use passages from the reading as support.
