2. Who are the authors? What institution are they from? Why were they chosen to write the paper together? Are they qualified to write the paper? What did each person contribute to the paper?
3. What is the research hypothesis tested? What problem are they trying to explain?
4. What is the archaeological culture studied? What is the time period? What is the sample size?
5.What the background information and literature review comprehensive enough?
6. What are the methodologies used to test the hypothesis?
7. What statistics are used?
8. Are the figures, tables, and photos clear and add to the paper?
9. Is there enough discussion of the results? What evidence have they collected to answer the question?
10. What are the conclusions? Do you agree with the conclusion? Are the conclusions convincing?
11. Why was this paper written? How does it contribute to the field of anthropology?
