Method: read the poem AT LEAST TWICE and look for the main ideas. What themes or images jump off the page? Examine word choice and combinations. What aspects of tone, style or diction seem important to you? Focus on lines which clinch the main idea. Sum up your impressions and present your findings in an orderly short essay with a clear introduction and thesis statement, as well as a clear conclusion.
These are to be written in British or Canadian English only, double-spaced and type-written in Times Roman 12-point font. Refer to the Canadian Oxford Dictionary and follow the spelling usage therein
